NOTE: I first wrote this story in 1997 as a Star Trek: Voyager fanfic, under the name "Eidolon". But then I realized that it would work quite nicely as a Star Wars story too. So - here is the revamped version. Hey, if you can't plagiarize from yourself, who can you plagiarize from?

Also - this is not the sequel to "Shards of Darkness" that I promised people. I will write it...just not today! :) This story takes place before "Shards" -- Obi-Wan is about 17 years old...
